Eavestroughs & Downspouts across Ontario

The single cheapest way to protect your foundation, basement and siding from water damage, when they actually work.

Overview

Why this service matters, and how we approach it.

Blocked, sagging or undersized eavestroughs are the number-one cause we see of foundation cracks, basement leaks and rotten fascia. A few hundred litres of rain running down the wrong place every storm adds up fast.

We install seamless aluminium troughs formed on-site to the exact length of your run, in 20 colours, with correctly-sized downspouts routed well clear of the foundation. We also clean, repair and rehang existing systems.

How often should eavestroughs be cleaned?
Twice a year as standard, spring and late autumn after leaf drop. More often if you have overhanging trees. We offer maintenance plans.
What size eavestrough do I need?
Most residential homes in Ontario are fine with 5" troughs and 2x3" downspouts. Larger homes, steep roofs or heavy-rainfall areas may need 6" troughs.
Will leaf guards really stop cleaning?
They dramatically reduce it, but no guard is 100%. A quality micro-filter system needs rinsing roughly once a year rather than full clear-outs twice a year.
Can you redirect downspouts away from the foundation?
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Downspouts should discharge a minimum of 1.8m (6 ft) from the foundation, onto a splash block or into an underground drain.
How long does a new eavestrough installation take?
A typical detached home (40 to 60 linear metres of trough) is completed in a single day. Larger homes or projects with soffit or fascia replacement can take 2 to 3 days.
