Chimneys & Leadwork across Ontario

Ontario's freeze-thaw cycles are brutal on chimneys. Rebuilds, repointing and proper lead flashing that keeps water out for decades.

Overview

Why this service matters, and how we approach it.

Chimneys are the single hardest-weathered part of any building. They stand above the roof line exposed on all four sides, they're penetrated by a flue, and the crown takes the full force of Ontario winter rain and snow.

We repoint, rebuild from the roof line up, replace crowns, install stainless-steel liners, fit rain caps, and fit proper lead flashing at the roof junction. Lead is the only flashing material that will reliably seal a chimney-to-roof junction for 50+ years.

How do I know if my chimney needs work?
Look for white staining (efflorescence) on the brick, cracks in the crown, missing mortar at joints, or water stains on the ceiling around the chimney breast.
Why use lead flashing instead of aluminium?
Lead lasts 80 to 100 years. Aluminium flashing lasts 15 to 20 before corroding at the roof junction.
Do you install liners?
Yes. We install insulated stainless-steel flexible liners for gas, oil and wood appliances, to WETT standards.
Do you build chimneys from scratch?
Yes. New-build chimneys for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces or high-efficiency gas appliances.
Will my chimney draft properly after repairs?
Yes, we test draft on every wood or gas appliance repair with a manometer to confirm proper flow after any repointing or liner work.
